House Of Elm is a luxury interior design studio based in Mumbai, India founded by MilounI Mehta. We offer Hospitality Interior Design, Bepoke Lighting & Furniture Design services for Hospitality & F&B Developers & Real estate Developers. Our objective is to create unique and exclusive environments tailored to the individual requirements of our clients, crafted with precision and care. Whilst being proud of our heritage, we aim to be a global studio. We work exclusively with leading contractors & artisans, all carefully selected by the team to visualise and achieve individual and incomparable designs.
MILOUNI MEHTA
Milouni Mehta, Creative Head & Founder of House of Elm, stands for finesse, professionalism and artistic inventiveness. Her immersive education and spectrum of professional experiences will bring to you the finesse of international and innovative design.
With an MFA in Interior Design from Italy, multiple certifications from the University of the Arts, London, USGBC Leed GA certified, Milouni has over a decade of professional experience as an Interior designer, having worked with prestigious firms in Italy, Mumbai and Hongkong before launching House of Elm.
Prior to launching House of Elm, Milouni has spearheaded projects spanning across Asia in India, China, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand & Taiwan. Her extensive work history truly makes her one-of-a-kind, and working with these “International giants” for the past decade has given her incredible international and diverse exposure to design.
VISION
With the pandemic leaving its mark, smaller cities are seeing a heavy rise in population, leading to the need for comfortable and stylish spaces and Milouni wants to bring her vast international expertise to them. House of Elm wants to work with visionary operators & developers who have a desire for international fine design without the large, commercialised budgets that often accompany them. We aim to provide global and innovative design expertise & give all our clients the luxury of cosmopolitan design.
Using her learnings from working with industry giants, her extensive international exposure, working with world-renowned companies and deep knowledge of local cultures, Milouni will breathe life and innovation into any vision to achieve individual and incomparable designs.

With a keen eye on details, we design each space with a highly edited vision & a unique attention to detail.
Through a process of consultation with owner /operator we help to develop the program scope and interior design requirements.
It's in the hidden spaces in-between, that the magic happens. Using that harmony, we apply experience knowledge and expertise and a simple methodology that results in exceptional spaces, beautifully realized.
At this stage we provide :

- Mood Imagery to determine style direction
Here is where we further our creative thinking into the three-dimensional design of the project. Every choice, from layout and material to furniture and style is made with your design goals in mind. The stand-out ideas are chosen for development into detailed concepts, and are further refined.
At this stage we provide :
- Refined planning for all areas Ceiling and lighting plans for key areas
- 3D renderings showing selected views
- Furniture selections and material boards
All the planning in the world is wasted without proper execution. At this phase we sweat the details, ensuring that every element works to aid the design goals of the project. Once the final design is approved we prepare drawings and specifications to move the design forward for construction.

Our work isn't done after the documentation delivers. We work closely with all contractors & PMC to ensure that the finished product meets our (and your) standards of excellence.
